          The 6th Louisiana Drag Classic

No Problem Raceway Park - Sept. 10, 2006

Our race was held at No Problem Raceway Park, Sunday, September 10, 2006.  This was a special race for the team and our racing community.  Last years Louisiana Classic was cancelled due to the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita and the devastation that they caused the local community and especially the families of Southern Mississippi, Louisiana and East Texas, along with the surrounding communities.  These are the people that normally come out and support Bracket Master Racing Team during our travels and sponsored events.  Families are still trying to recover from the storms even after a year has passed.  There were a lot of cars and faces not in attendance this year and we understand the toll that has been taken on our racing community and our area in general.  Last years race was cancelled because Bracket Masters thought it was more important to help a community in need and race another day. We want to thank those racers and supporters that did attend. Photos .

Several special trophies were awarded.  Millet Racing took home the trophy for "Best Appearing Team".  Zubie Racing took home the trophy for "Longest Distance Traveled" and two awards were given to the teams that bought the most cars and people to the event.  These were given to "Arnold's Air Hoggs" and "Bayou Boyz" Racing Team" Joe Lewis won Non-E in his 1983 Ford Courier pickup and his wife, LaChaunda Lewis driving a 2003 Mustang, finished 2nd in Street.  They are both on the "Bayou Boyz" Racing Team.  Thanks for the support.

Five years ago, the nation was attacked on 9/11/2001.  Today, in Sept. 2006, we continue to fight a war that spreads across several nations, including the terror war right here on our soil.  We pray that our troops will be returned home very soon, and we will be able to exist in this new world, that will never be the same as it was before 911, or hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
